ln 1993 our government decided that it would no long provide final military honors for Veterans. Waymon Griffon (a highly decorated WWll Marine) and Bo Simpson (a Korean War Veteran) began recruiting Veterans. By 1994 they had recruited 100 Veterans and the All Veterans Honor Guard was born.
Originally there were six teams: Aurora, Arvada, Castle Rock, Littleton, Lakewood & Denver/Ft Logan team. Over the years we have lost Arvada and Lakewood and are currently down to less than 80 volunteers.
ln the past 30 years we have provided final military honors for over 23,000 Veterans.
We can only guarantee two things: 1) the families are always grateful and 2) you won’t meet a nicer group of men and women than those who do this because they are doing it for the right
reasons.
